Boar Bristle Dry Body Brush | Natural Wood Handle | ECONIQUE
Natural Boar Bristle Dry Body Brush — Schima Wood Handle
Your skin is the body's largest organ — this is how you honour it.
A fully natural, plastic-free dry body brush crafted from genuine boar bristles and schima wood. Built for the ritual, not the shortcut.
Most body brushes make a quiet compromise somewhere — synthetic bristles, plastic fittings, a drop of industrial adhesive holding it all together. Over time, those compromises end up on your skin and in the water supply. If you've been searching for a brush that holds its integrity all the way through, this is it. This dry body brush is constructed entirely from natural boar bristles and a sustainably sourced schima wood handle, with zero plastics and zero adhesives used in its manufacture. The factory holds RoHS certification — a standard that restricts hazardous substances — so what you're holding is as clean in its making as it is in its use.
Dry brushing before your shower may help stimulate circulation and support the body's natural lymphatic flow, while the firm yet responsive bristles work to lift away dead skin cells and encourage a smoother, more even skin surface over time.
At 20cm x 8cm, the brush sits naturally in the hand and covers broad surface areas efficiently, making a full-body ritual practical rather than laborious.
At ECONIQUE, every product earns its place through a sourcing process that asks hard questions about materials, manufacturing, and intent. This brush passed. It's the kind of tool that becomes part of a morning ritual — unhurried, intentional, and quietly effective.
INTENDED USE

What Is Dry Body Brushing?
Dry body brushing is the simple practice of sweeping a medium to stiff, natural bristle body brush over completely dry skin — before you shower or bathe. It's an old ritual (with roots in Ayurvedic practice) that's found its way back into modern self-care routines for one good reason: it works, gently and honestly, without needing anything more than a brush and a few minutes.
THE BENEFITS
- May help stimulate circulation and support natural lymphatic flow with regular dry brushing.
- Skin that looks brighter. Buffing away dead skin cells reveals the healthier skin beneath, which often looks more even, smoother and radiant.
- A grounding ritual. Used before showering, it's two minutes that ask you to slow down and be in your body — many people find it genuinely energising.
- Completely plastic-free and glue-free — no hidden synthetics on your skin or in the drain
- A boost to your routine, not a fix-all. Some people find the dry brushing motion — always toward the heart — feels similar to a light massage. It may assist with lymphatic drainage and detoxification. There isn't good evidence for cellulite improvement, and we'd rather you trust us on the things we can actually promise.
- RoHS-certified manufacturing means the product is held to a verified standard for hazardous substance restriction
HOW OFTEN TO DRY BRUSH
2–3 times a week is a good starting point for most skin types. Those with a regular tolerance may enjoy it daily; if your skin is sensitive, sunburnt, freshly shaved, or irritated, skip it until it's settled. Always brush before bathing, never on wet skin, and never over broken skin, rashes, or active breakouts.
HOW TO USE YOUR BODY BRUSH
A simple five-step ritual to build into your morning.
- Start dry. Use the body brush before showering — on completely dry skin, dry hands. Never on wet or damp skin.
- Begin at your feet. Using light, firm pressure, brush in long strokes upward — always moving toward your heart.
- Work upward, section by section. Move from ankles to knees, knees to thighs, then hands to shoulders. Use small circular motions over knees, elbows, and any rougher patches.
- Brush your torso gently. Use lighter pressure across your stomach and chest, brushing in gentle upward and inward strokes. Avoid the face and any sensitive or broken skin.
- Rinse and moisturise. Shower or bathe as normal to rinse away loosened skin, then apply body oil or moisturiser to newly-exposed, receptive skin — this is where an ENOUGH or Gesalfde body oil finishes the ritual beautifully.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
A little care keeps your brush hygienic and long-lasting.
- Tap out loose skin cells and debris after each use.
- Wash the natural bristles every 1–2 weeks: swirl briefly in lukewarm, soapy water — avoid soaking the wooden handle, as prolonged water exposure can cause it to crack or warp.
- Shake off excess water and lay flat or bristle-side down to air dry completely before storing or reusing.
- Store in a dry, ventilated spot — not in a sealed container or steamy bathroom cabinet — to prevent mould or mildew forming in the bristles.
- Avoid harsh detergents, dishwashers, or submerging the handle — natural wood is not dishwasher safe.
- Replace your brush roughly every 6–12 months, or sooner if bristles become worn, splayed, or shed excessively.
